Sepsis is more in the news these days - and that's because of the hard work and tireless campaigning by staff, volunteers and many benefactors of the UKST over the last 15 years
The fact that Sepsis kills 4 times more people than prostrate cancer is an unimaginable statistic and sepsis is so "under-known" for the deadly consequences if left untreated within the first few hours. Truth is, many lives have been lost simply because these signs were not known - and many have lost friends and family when they could have been easily saved.
By increasing knowledge across the medical professions and through greater public awareness, 15,000 lives can be saved each year - just by "knowing".
Sounds like a no-brainer to me
